Hashimi Hotel

The HaShimi Hotel is the only hotel in the core or "heart" of the Old City of Jerusalem. The building itself is over 400 years old! But you wouldn't know it once you're inside. The very modern and artistic interior features marble floors, stairs and railings. The entire hotel's color scheme is beautifully done in whites, beiges and maroons, with rich gold detailing. The hotel boasts a beautiful roof top terrace with magnificent views over the old city and the historical sites - a perfect place to relax and unwind after a long day sight seeing in the city.

If you are travelling Israel to see the religious and historical sites, the HaShimi Hotel will make a terrific base for your travels. For example, the Church of the Holy Sepulcher is only 125 yards away! Even many of the New City areas of Jerusalem are close enough to walk to. Staying in the Old City will make touring Jerusalem easier for you. The staff at HaShimi Hotel can arrange your place in organized tours to all areas of Jerusalem. Some are walking tours. Some are by bus to other cities and regions. All of them are great fun!

Vzhledem k tomu, že se jedná o muslimský hotel, je dobré nezapomenout na skutečnost, že v hotelu se nesmí pít jakýkoliv alkohol a nesezdané páry nemůžou být ubytovány. Přístup od Jafské brány je dobrý, pokoje jsou velmi malé a prostě zařízené. Jednoduchá a kvalitní snídaně je v ceně. Je třeba počítat s tím, že je lepší platit v USD než v NIS. Pak je přepočet na oficiální měnu horší. V TV jsou pouze muslimské programy. Návštěva chrámové hory je pro nemuslymi možná pouze ve čtvrtek od 7:00 do 11:00 a pouze přes přechod u zdi nářků. Do mešity vás však stejně nepustí, takže vlastně pouze prohlídka prostor chrámové hory.
